Sanitrade sanitary systems for the naval sector civil restructuring engineering and oilfields supply Vacuum system

The Finnish Company EVAC OY, part of the Zodiac group, owned by METRA, is represented in Italy by the SANITRADE SRL, placed in Chiavari (GE). The EVAC group has been, for many years, leader in Vacuum-operated draining systems; this technology, developed more than 30 years ago, is today considered a break through, for its hygienic and sanitary aspects as well as for continuous research that EVAC is heading in this field. The system bases itself on the principle of the forced suction of waste originated : from toilettes and foul water release. The most important technical and ecological features we would like to point out are: free movement, that a Gravity drainage system cannot permit, and the reduced amount of water used in toilettes.

This system is initially used in the shipping industry, where the reduction of the pipes (weight) and the reduced amount of water used are the main priorities. With further studies the system was then installed in aeroplanes, trains and in the civil sector, with particular interest in shopping smalls and new building. In this particular field, the Italian team, which today makes up SANITRADE and distributes the product EVAC, was able to adapt Finnish technology in order to satisfy the various needs of individual designer and builder.

We can confirm that in the shipping industry EVAC supplied about 80% of ships built during the last 10 years in Italy. As far as Railway is concerned EVAC is still not completely established in Italy: ft is managed directly from the Finnish factory which has recently obtained brilliant results, Iike the supplying of parts for the  modern fast trains of FIAT-FERROVIARIA. In the construction sector there have been very good results with the installation of EVAC systems in department stores (more than 50) and lately it has worked towards obtaining prestigious projects, Me the "Ponte Vecchio" in Florence which has been using the EVAC system for more than 5 years.

The elasticity and basic planning of the system makes time and costs extremely satisfying and very competitive. The small ' amount of water used for the drainage and the forced oxygenation in the collection-phase reduces the pipes amount and the BOD. The vacuum drainage system (either the vacuum pipe or the hyroejector types) allows the forced backwave or discharge head of the waste water with a consistent reduction of solids present in the waste.
