Technical features

The ejector vacuum collecting units are made using proven, robust technology, which is simple and reliable and still present a good option for certain applications. They have fewer moving parts than other solutions, making them extremely low maintenance.

Ejector vacuum collecting units have a flexible design offering a large number of different possible variations and holding tank alternatives. They can be directly mounted in a sewage treatment plant or ship’s hull tank.

The ejectors’ aeration effect on sewage means that there is no need for additional aeration of vacuum collecting units. This means no hazardous H2S gases and/or odours from the aerobic waste water process.

Operation

“Powered” by the pump, the ejector creates vacuum in the piping. When collected black water and air pumped from the tank pass the nozzle at high pressure it causes a Venturi effect, which pulls effluent from the inlet. This mixture exits the ejector and flows into the collecting tank. When the pump stops, the rubber flap of the check valve is drawn into the closed position by the vacuum, maintaining the vacuum. Vacuum generation is controlled by a vacuum sensor and the PLC.
